You have this event coming up and all of a sudden an idea pops into your mind: A bagpiper would be perfect for that event. The question is: How do I institute a bagpiper into a Wedding, a Funeral or a party.
For the last 15 years, I have been a full time professional bagpiper. I think that I have a handle on the market place as I keep getting called to do more jobs. I’d like to give you my perspective as to how a bagpiper could fit into your plans for any of these situations.
My name is Gary Guth. I am a full time bagpiper. I teach 30 students per week, play events, and sell bagpipes and equipment for a living. As a lot of these events are 1 time only events, you should hire the best music that money can buy. As a teacher over the last 15 years, a lot of my students have felt that owning pipes and kilt makes them qualified to play at your event. This instrument is a very difficult instrument to master. You should have a Master play at your event. This is just my opinion. Anyone that you hire, should be able to provide samples of their work. If they can’t call me. As you can see by the pictures to the right, I have been at this a very long time.
